Tribute Funds

Your gift is a thoughtful way to celebrate a simcha or express your sympathy while contributing to Akiba’s mission to provide a superior general and Judaic education. Gifts or pledges can be made to any of the funds listed below. We also welcome the establishment of named funds. An acknowledgement of your donation will be sent to the honoree or the family of the person you are memorializing.

Akiba Fund: The Akiba Fund, the School’s Annual Fund, is the single most important fundraising effort of the School. Your participation provides direct funding for vigorous, creative, and collaborative educational initiatives that tuition alone does not cover. Every dollar goes directly toward supporting the School’s operating needs.

Teacher Initiative Fund: The Teacher Initiative Fund supports Training and Professional Development for the Teachers, as well as for resource teachers working with students who have learning differences.

Student Initiative Fund: The Student Initiative Fund supports student programs, both Judaic and General Studies, with resources for additional learning opportunities above and beyond the School's normal operations.

School Initiative Fund: The School Initiative Fund supports purchasing and maintaining educational classroom equipment for Teachers. It also provides for ongoing maintenance and enhancement of the School Campus and facilities.

Endowment Fund: Increasing the School's endowment is a continuing priority to ensure that Akiba continues to grow stronger and extend its impact within our community. A strong endowment provides for long-term stability and security of our School.

The Darryl Lazarow z”l Scholarship Fund: These scholarships will be available to Akiba students in kindergarten through eighth grade who need financial assistance in order to participate in sports, fitness or art programs at Akiba.

The Larry Lampert z”l Chesed Fund: the fund is to be used by Akiba Academy's Head of School, at the Head of School's discretion, to provide financial assistance to deserving students and their families for purposes not funded by tuition or financed by Akiba Academy from any other school-related fund.
