The Akiba Academy and
Former Student Association (AAFSA) strives to connect
alumni to one another and to Akiba Academy.  This
goal is reflected in all of our programs: we want to renew our ties with our members, and continue to update our Alumni membership using traditional - annual newsletters - and non-tradional - weekly e-news - communication tools.
Time-Capsule Ceremony: The Challenge Student’s
Haley’s Comet Time-Capsule from 1986 was replaced
into the ground at the Schultz Rosenberg Campus following
the grand Opening Ceremony. Members of Akiba’s
Junior National Honor Society made a DVD of the new
campus, which was also placed into the ground behind
the original Akiba cornerstone.
Holy Hats and Saphira Jewelry Trunk Show: Our first trunk show of the 2007-2008 academic year took place in August, 2007. Dahlia Abramov, owner of Holy Hats, and Sarina Schick from Saphira Jewels brought their wonderful wares to the Akiba Atrium Lobby. Monies
were raised to support the AAFSA. Our next trunk show is expected to take place in January 2008, at a date still to be determined.
