Camp Kulanu (16 months to 4 years)

CampCamp Kulanu is a warm and nurturing Jewish day camp program designed to captivate and delight preschoolers. Each day, Kulanu campers are engaged in creative play, art, music, water fun and special programs. Jewish life is highlighted in camp activities with a focus on Torah and Israeli activities.

Camp Director Christie Morris has planned special activities based on specific themes to challenge young minds and help expand their critical, learning and fine motor skills.

We invite to experience the joy of summer camp with us at Akiba!

Session 1~ June 14 - June 25

Designing the Future~ Children erect structures while exploring the elements of building, including balances and ramps. The entire group collaborates on a unique project that takes shape throughout the session.

Session 2~ June 28 - July 9 Camp

Keep your Eye on the Target~ Utilizing photography and art experiences, campers investigate nature. The children's work will be featured in photo books that tell the stroy of their learning.

Through games, the children also strengthen their visual skill and aim.

Session 3~ July 12- July 23

Creator's Paradise~ Through hands-on activities, campers explore the culinary arts, learning how to combine ingredients in the kitchen.

Through the language of clay, children enhance their social, motor, and critical thinking skills.

Camp Mazal (Kindergarten – 8th grade)

Akiba invites you to discover the magic of Camp Mazal!

Director Annette Wolk and her staff introduce an innovative program that will inspire and engage your child all summer, while fostering imagination and instigating creativity.

Along with core camp programs of art, sports, water play and field trips, each day is infused with Jewish spirit, bringing Torah lessons to life and celebrating Jewish identity.

CampThis summer, Camp Mazal is the place to be!

Session 1~ June 14 - June 25

Designing the Future~ Campers develop a cityscape from conception to implementation while learning the basics of architecture, design, and engineering. The master plan includes parks, roads, playgrounds, and neighborhoods. Their project comes to life using building media such as Legos, boxes, wood, robotics, and simple machinery.

Using critical thinking, math, and artistic skills, your urban planner leanrs that creativity is limitless.

Session 2~ June 28 - July 9

Keep your Eye on the Target~ Your camper's focus improves through photography, archery and chess. Your developing photographer learns the basics: how to hold a camera, shooting from different perspectives, finding a visual point of interest, the rule of thirds and computer techniques to upload, edit and print photos. Camp

Confidence soars while learning the fundamentals of archery and chess.

Cognitive skills, critical thinking and focus improve while campers learn the rules and basic startegies.

Session 3~ July 12- July 23

Creator's Paradise~ Science and art abound as your child discovers new and exciting talents in the kitchen, lab, and studio. Campers learn and play with crystals, bubbles, elements, and compounds to understand the relationship between science and cooking.

By performing experiments and exploring recipes, chemical reactions are sure to excite! Campers also try their hand at sculpture, crafts and sewing.
